Privacy Policy

Psykick (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Psykick web and mobile application at psykick.xyz. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication. We do not store your password in plain text.

Your Lamp journey. Questions you receive, answers you submit, AI-generated lamp replies, reflections, artwork, passport state, arc progress, and related session metadata are stored to provide the service and preserve your journey when you register.

Psykick Lite (Life Stored — Light). Notes and guidance captures you make in Lite mode are stored first on your device in browser or app local storage, and when you are signed in they are also synced to your account so they appear on your other devices. If you add a Lite moment to My Map while signed in, we store the snapshot you choose to keep on our servers. Quiet footprints from Lite may also be written to Continuity when you use stewards that post recognition traces (see Continuity footprints below).

Continuity and understanding. If you use Continuity features (including Alchemize, signature review, and related understanding stores), we process and retain the text you submit, derived continuity models, indexes, and related metadata to build lasting understanding across sessions.

Continuity footprints (Passport Office). Across Quest, Lite, Magic Carpet, Map, and souvenirs, rooms may leave footprints — short traces of what happened in that room. Psykick may quietly recognize patterns as a traveler fingerprint. Only Continuity promotes footprints into lasting understanding. Footprints are not a public profile and are not shown as a separate product surface.

Map and Public Map. When you save moments to My Map, we store the snapshots you choose to keep — including Lamp Q&A, reflections, artwork, Magic Carpet rides, souvenirs you keep, and Psykick Lite notes or guidance you explicitly add. If you opt in to a Public Map profile, we store your public display name, public journey name, curated public moments you publish, featured selections, and related profile settings. Explore and Follow Journey features store which public journeys you follow and notification state.

Compass. We store signals, constellations, and compass readings derived from your Reflect evidence when thresholds are met.

Magic Carpet rides. If you host or join a Carpet ride, we store session metadata, ride type, answers you submit for that ride, compiled shared-landscape outputs, and (for guests joining via portal) a nickname you provide. In shared rides, raw answers are not shown to the other participant — only computed comparison outputs. Carpet ride history is stored in a separate collection from your main Lamp History and is included in Backup Journey exports.

Magic Carpet souvenirs (Artifacts). After eligible rides, you may optionally create a souvenir image — a keepsake shaped by the ride (and, when you choose, a selfie). We store: souvenir invitation state, allowance/usage counters, generated souvenir images (also linked from Carpet history), and selfie uploads under carpet_selfies/ used to develop that keepsake (and any corrective re-develop). Selfies are face images you provide; they are sent to our AI image providers to compose the souvenir and are not used as a biometric identity system. Souvenir generation is subject to fair-use limits (guest lifetime and free monthly caps). Account deletion removes associated selfie binaries, souvenir jobs, and Carpet history links.

The Genie. When you use The Genie on the Journey ritual surface, we store your selected conversation mode (about you vs. about Psykick), messages you send, and responses generated for you. Journey-mode conversations may draw on your stored journey data; Psykick-mode conversations draw on approved product documentation — these contexts are kept separate by design. On Psykick Lite, the header Genie opens life categories only; guidance messages will be processed under the same AI policies when the Lite Genie API ships.

History sharing. When you use Share or Save on a history item, Psykick generates a share card image on your device from the moment you selected. We do not automatically publish share cards; you control whether and where you share them.

Exports. Backup Journey and Journey Package exports are generated on your request. We do not automatically publish exports; you control download and sharing.

Guest sessions. If you use Psykick without an account, progress may be stored locally on your device (including session history, passport state, Lite notes, and welcome artwork). A device identifier may be used to enforce fair-use limits and migrate your session if you later register. Guest Carpet random rides and guest souvenir allowances follow the same fair-use rules.

Wallet visibility (optional). If you connect a Solana wallet, we read publicly available on-chain data to display balances or holdings. Psykick is non-custodial: we do not store private keys, execute transactions, or move funds.

Usage and analytics. We collect product analytics (such as feature usage, language preference, ritual navigation, and interaction counts) to improve stability and understand how the app is used. This data is used for operations and product improvement—not for third-party advertising.

Technical data. Standard server and security logs (IP address, request metadata, timestamps) may be processed by our hosting providers (Google Firebase / Cloud Functions).

How we use information

What we do not do

AI and third-party processors

Psykick uses third-party services to operate the product, including:

Your question and answer text, continuity submissions, Carpet ride answers, optional souvenir selfies, Lite guidance responses, and Genie messages may be sent to AI providers to generate reflections, comparisons, understanding, keepsakes, and related content. Do not submit information you are not comfortable having processed for this purpose.

Data retention

We retain account data and your saved journey while your account is active. Carpet ride history, souvenir images, Map items, Continuity stores (including footprints and traveler recognition), Compass data, Genie conversation history, and signed-in Psykick Lite notes and day journals are retained while your account is active unless you delete your account or specific data through available controls. Selfie uploads used for souvenir generation are retained while needed for that keepsake (including corrective re-develop) and are removed with account deletion. Lite notes stored only on your device as a guest remain until you clear app data or browser storage. You may delete your account from the app, which removes associated stored data subject to backup and legal retention requirements.

Backup Journey includes Lamp journey data, Map, Compass, Continuity, Carpet ride history (including souvenir links where present), and related profile fields. Psykick Lite day journals and category notes on your device are merged into the backup file when you export from this browser.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate Psykick, when required by law, or to protect the security and integrity of the platform.

Public Map content you publish is visible to other users according to your sharing choices. Following a public journey allows you to receive updates when that journey shares new public moments.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, access controls, and Firebase security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

Psykick is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

International users

Psykick is operated from the United States. If you use the service from other regions, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. The app interface is available in English, French, and Spanish; this Privacy Policy is provided in English.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
